AYAKA Undifuted Junmai 綾花 純米原酒

Sho Ryu Horai Junmai Ginjo
AYAKA Undifuted Junmai
300ml 720ml

You can say that this sake is "cute". There is a sweet, floral aroma coming up from the sake ("uwadachi-ka") resembling that of papaya. After the first sip, gradually the sweetness becomes something like mango, offering the enjoyment of a rich, full-bodied finesse. The amount of acidity is relatively small, so warming the sake ("kan") does not affect the overall impression except for a slight increase of the acid and mellowness, and soon emerges a light, pear-like aroma.
When matched with cream cheese, its sour-sweet qualities can be further enjoyed; or with boiled pumpkin and sweet potato salad, this sake's mildness is ever more accentuated. Grilled flatfish can also emphasize its sweetness, and a tomato-flavored dish of minced chicken and radish will go perfectly with it, just as well.
This sake is also tasty even when cooled down after warming ("kan-zamashi" style).

ASAHIGIKU REY Junmai Ginjo 旭菊 麗 純米吟醸

Sho Ryu Horai Junmai Ginjo
Asahigiku Rey Junmai Ginjo
720ml

This sake has very soft taste initially, but it has a strong core with a sophisticated Ginjo flavor that lingers on your tongue. Also, its well-balanced acidity gives it a slightly bitter aftertaste that is quite intriguing. When consumed at a warm temperature around 40℃, you might notice an increase in your appetite due the sake’s increased acidity. Sweet potato cooked with orange juice, oranges and pure sake goes extremely well with it.

  • Suggested accompaniments Sweet potato cooked with orange juice, oranges and pure sake
Cream salad of sweet potato and pumpkin
